More affordable models typically use Dacron, a often-heavier but durable and cost-effective material.

The canopy design and tension also play a big role. A tighter canopy improves upwind ability and pump response, while a looser canopy can generate more low-end power and be more forgiving when starting out.

Keep in mind that not all wings come fully equipped. For example, Armstrong includes handles with every wing, while F-One’s newer models now require you to purchase handles separately.
