All the design innovations from F-One’s fourth STRIKE have been seamlessly integrated into the STRIKE CWC V4. The aerodynamics of the STRIKE CWC V4 have been meticulously optimized for exceptional performance in light wind conditions. Materials

F-One has crafted the leading edge of the STRIKE CWC V4 using HITEX 158g and 178g, a high tenacity polyester known for its exceptional resistance to elongation, ensuring greater durability and performance. These HITEX weights are carefully distributed to manage the different tensions, high pressures, and weight distribution across the wing.

The innovation lies in the strategic placement of ALUULA on the three struts of the wing. Thanks to the mechanical properties of this lightweight and durable material, the central strut has been made thinner, resulting in reduced drag and a noticeable decrease in weight. This design choice enhances free-flying and handling during downwinders or jibes. The ALUULA struts also minimize inertia during maneuvers, transitions, and pumping.

To guarantee both performance and durability, F-One uses thicker TECHNOFORCE™/D2 in 66g on the trailing edge, where tension is highest and resistance is critical. The rest of the wing’s canopy is made from TECHNOFORCE™/D2 in 52g.

Design

The central strut of the CWC V4 has been redesigned to be completely straight, allowing F-One to better control deformation and potential twisting while reducing drag. This results in less infill deformation and extends the infill almost to the back. F-One’s innovative Load Diffuser has been reduced to save weight, particularly during free-flying.

The CWC V4 also features an added dihedral angle to improve stability and keep the wingtips out of the water when pumping and riding. The new leading and trailing edge tensions help maintain a smooth and stable profile, ensuring incredible performance and control.

The wing’s body incorporates a horizontal cut to optimize the weight of the seams on these large-surface, light-wind wings. The trailing edge features a vertical cut in 66g for ideal traction control. A small radial cut has been added to the back of the strut to distribute tension evenly. The Load Diffuser further contributes to maintaining a sleek and efficient profile, leading to ultimate stability, performance, and longevity.

F-One’s precise panel layout, accurate load management, and staggered seams provide exceptional control of the wing’s profile. The materials are meticulously distributed to handle the various tensions, high pressures, and weight distribution in each specific area.

Handles

The new CWC V4 is equipped with F-One’s interchangeable handle system. Choose from soft, hybrid, or rigid handles to customize the feel of your wing according to your preference.

The Light Wind Revolution

F-One’s Compact Wing Concept (CWC) patent allows for more surface area within a given wingspan without compromising lightness and performance. The two extra struts increase the wing’s surface area without extending the leading edge’s length and diameter.
